What these boards measure
Nandonia has 10 leaderboards, and they are not all the same kind of board. All but two are gameplay boards that money cannot advance at all. Two, Land Ownership and Merge Masters, are patron boards: land claims and merges can be bought with Gold, so those two can be funded rather than played. That is deliberate and it is said here so nobody spends months discovering it.
Live standings load on this page and update as players play. The descriptions below explain what each board is actually measuring, which matters most for the scored boards, where the number is not the plain count its name suggests.
The boards
Nandonia ranks players, cities and envoys across 10 separate boards. They measure different things on purpose, so that a trader, a collector, a builder and a host are not all competing for the same number.

How Merge Masters is scored
This is a Merge Score, not a count of merges. Every completed merge scores by the rarity of the land you sacrificed: Common 1, Uncommon 20, Rare 50, Epic 100. So a few high rarity merges outrank many Common ones. Attempts where merge insurance saved your land are not merges, and do not score.
How ranking works
- Standings are computed from live game state rather than from anything a player submits.
- Boards rank three different kinds of thing. Some rank players, some rank individual cities, and one ranks envoys, so the same account can appear on several boards at once.
- Two boards can be funded, and the other 8 cannot. Gold buys land claims and merges, which feed Land Ownership and Merge Masters. It cannot advance City Score, Empire Score, either cultural influence board, achievements, envoy levels, welcomes or lore fragments discovered, and it can never mint resources or Cultural Influence.
- Gold itself comes from real-money packs, a capped set of one-off achievements, the daily login streak, a referral commission, and player-to-player market sales. Nothing else in the game creates it.
