Upgrade Prices and Lore Awards

7 August 2026

Your mastery discounts are now applied everywhere the game decides whether you can afford a building, not only on the screen that shows the price. Three of the five places that make that decision were quoting full price.

Awarding a lore fragment from several of the newer sources was failing outright.

Fixes

  • Build and upgrade availability is priced with your mastery discounts.

The cost preview showed the discounted price, but three of the five places that decide whether an upgrade is affordable used the undiscounted one. A city could hold enough for the discounted cost, see the discount badge, and still be told it could not afford the upgrade.

  • Lore awards from the new sources no longer fail.

Guild Ledgers, Deep Foundations and Marginalia record where a fragment came from, and the field was too narrow to hold the new source names, so the award errored instead of granting the fragment.

  • Completing a trade route locks it first.

Two envoys completing the same route at once could both be credited.

  • A stale page reload reports itself as a reload.

When the game updated while your tab was open, following a link could fail and surface as a raw TypeError instead of reloading.
